Psalm 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
He knew that mankind would sin and fail, he knew that he would have to watch his son die to redeem us and he knew that one day he would have to destroy mankind from the earth leaving a remnant that had stayed faithful to him.
You see, nothing that is happening in the world today is a surprise to God. He already knew how everything would play out. The good news is that by his death, Jesus Christ made a way for man to escape destruction. By his shed blood he made a way for mankind to be forever reconciled to God.
As we look around and see all the evil in the world today we should comfort one another with God's word. We should encourage one another that all these things must come to pass in order to see God's word fulfilled and that as they come pass it brings us closer to the return of Jesus Christ to call up his redeemed.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
