Sometimes we may feel that when we cry out to God that those cries reach no further than the ceiling in the room. God hears us the very first time we call out to him. Obstacles may stand in the way and prevent us from seeing this, but it doesn't change that fact that his ears are inclined to listen. Daniel cried out to God for 21 days and thought God didn't hear him. But he got his answer and God let him know that he heard him the very first time he called. Samuel, David and so many others are good examples showing that when God's children cry out to him, he will hear from heaven.
Psalm 20:6
Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
Daniel.. 10:12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears
Psalm 18:6
In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psalm 20:6
