And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Paul taught that Christians are not to be conformed to the world. Just because something is socially acceptable does not make it right. We are not to try and adapt or fit into the world. We are not to live by the standards of society. We are to live by God's word. Paul taught us that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The only thing that can transform us is Jesus Christ and once you have a relationship with him, then you can begin renewing your mind by reading and listening to the word of God. I believe God's word will literally renew your mind. I believe if we are sick, in a coma, or don't even know our name and someone begins to daily read the word of God to us or play it from a CD that it will renew our minds. God's word is powerful and alive. If we can get into God's word daily and let him renew our minds, then we will be able to know the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
